A mansion featuring 24-foot ceilings, six fireplaces to keep a family warm in the winter, and a huge pool for summer fun is the most expensive home in Nebraska.

Listed for $3,875,000, the four-bedroom, seven-bathroom home in Omaha’s Linden Estates neighborhood has been on the market since July 2019, when it was priced at $3,999,000.

“This home is so unique because it is a private executive home, but it is very comfortable and perfect for entertaining,” says listing agent Linda Carpenter. “It has luxurious amenities, but it still is very family-oriented.”

The 10,530-square-foot, ranch-style home sits on a 4.17-acre corner lot. Built in 2002, the home has been renovated inside and out. There are marble floors, cherry wood accents, stately columns, large chandeliers, and floor-to-ceiling windows.

“It was built in a timeless fashion. We’ve seen a lot of different trends come and go in the last 18 years, and this house is definitely timeless,” Carpenter says.

The owners are retiring and no longer need such a large home.

“They take great pride and great care of their home, and so nothing is left undone,” she continues. “It’s very well-maintained. That has been my biggest response from anybody that looks at it. They can feel that it has been meticulously maintained.”

The master suite features a large seating area and a bathroom with dual vanities and a fireplace. The master closets are off the bathroom and have large dressing areas. The remaining three bedrooms are en suite. There’s also an elevator.

“It’s family-friendly. They have lots of relatives and they love to entertain, so they wanted to make sure people felt comfortable when they came to visit their home,” Carpenter says.

The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances and is adjacent to a temperature-controlled wine room, casual dining area, and family room.

The mansion includes plenty of spaces to entertain, including a 14-seat theater, full bar, formal dining areas, game rooms, and exercise room.

“It has a great entertaining bar that opens up into the living room and the dining room that’s fully functional and has dishwasher, refrigerator, ice maker, running water with a sink, plenty of storage for glasses and drinks,” Carpenter says.

The basement has a full kitchen, and a walk-out travertine patio leads to a large backyard with an infinity pool and spa. A cooking station, gas fire pit, raised garden boxes, and a pond complete the backyard.

With only five other homes listed above $2.5 million in the Omaha area, this mansion is a true standout. Carpenter says she feels a bit of pressure selling the most expensive home in the state, but is up to the task.

“I feel confident [we] will be able to get this sold. There’s actually a demand for these homes in Nebraska, Omaha specifically,” she says. “We’ve got great industry. We’ve got high-end corporations. We’ve actually had a lot of lookers and a lot of buyers through the home, and a lot of interest.”

The perfect buyer could be anyone looking for a large, private home with lots of land in a great location.

“You don’t find 4 acres in the heart of the city very often, so this is a very private situation,” Carpenter explains. “Anybody that would love to have kind of their own oasis, this is perfect for them.”
