Mark Davis, the owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, has gained plenty of residential yardage since he moved his team from Oakland to Las Vegas. His most recent acquisition is a clubhouse tower condo in Las Vegas’ swanky Summit Club, for which he paid $5.3 million.

The Summit Club is a brand-spanking-new, ultra-luxury, resort-style golf course development in Summerlin, an upscale Las Vegas suburb.

Among the amenities Davis will be enjoying as a resident are a championship golf course designed by the celebrated golf architect Tom Fazio, an artificial lake, multiple restaurants, a fitness center, a spa and wellness center, a movie theater, salon, pool, as well as tennis and pickleball courts.

You can choose from several types of residences in The Summit Club development. Buyers can opt for pre-built desert villas, desert bungalows, or golf cottages.

A deep-pocketed buyer could purchase an empty lot to build a custom mansion. Besides the luxe homes, condos are available. Davis selected a spacious one in the clubhouse tower, which promises to offer spectacular views.

In December 2017, Davis scored a 1.21-acre lot in The Summit Club for $8.5 million, with the intention of building a sumptuous custom home.

Last year, though, he turned around and sold the property for $10.5 million—a pretty fair profit for a bare parcel of land.

One month after selling that, Davis bought a 6.34-acre lot for $6 million in the Ascaya luxury development. This guard-gated community is located in the suburb of Henderson, a little closer to the Las Vegas Strip.

Davis told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that he was in the middle of designing his house in The Summit Club, when he realized he couldn’t see Allegiant Stadium, the home of his beloved Raiders, from his lot. He decided he’d rather build something a little closer to the home team, and contracted the luxury builder Blue Heron to make it so.

He’ll have some famous neighbors: Gene Simmons, the Kiss bassist, also recently purchased a mansion in Ascaya.

While Davis is waiting for construction to finish on a swanky new mansion, his new, multimillion-dollar condo in The Summit Club should be more than a suitable perch.

Davis, 66, is the principal owner and managing general partner of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, and also the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces. He inherited the Raiders from his father, Al Davis, in 2011, and moved the team from Oakland to Las Vegas after the 2019 season.
